The Ideal City In Plato’s book “Republic” he describes what he thinks would be an ideal city, for this city to be ideal it would have to be just. In his just city there are three classes of people; gold, silver, and bronze/iron; known as the National Division of Labor.

Plato did not claim to know where the line between Form and non-Form is to be drawn those things about which the young Socrates (and Plato) asserted “I have often been puzzled about these things (in reference to Man, Fire and Water), appear as Forms in later works. However, others do not, such as Hair, Mud, Dirt.

Temperance is the virtue Of Appetite, Courage the virtue of Spirit, and Wisdom is the virtue of Reason. It was Plat’s belief that goodness and justice come from the correct balance Of the Three Parts of the Soul. Plato founded the first Philosophical Academy in Athens in the early fourth century BC. He devoted his life to philosophy and the teachings of his friend Socrates. Plato learned from Socrates and passed on his knowledge to his students. After his friend's sudden death, Plato became dissatisfied with the government in Athens.
